Ruby Winslow Linn photographs, ca. 1878-2000.

Photographs collected and taken by Lieutenant-Colonel Ruby (Winslow) Linn, U.S. Army dietician. 15 volumes mostly contain photographs of Ruby's travels, ca. 1940-1976, around the world, as well as throughout the United States. Other volumes contain photographs depicting Ruby's childhood and family in Myricks, Mass.; her life and work as a dietician in various places and hospitals in the U.S.; her involvement with the Daughters of the American Revolution; and her husband LaVon Parker Linn's involvement with the National Sojourners. 4 boxes also contain loose photographs, mainly consisting of portraits of various Linn, Winslow, and Macomber family members, among many others. These portraits include many photographs of Ruby Winslow Linn, taken between ca. 1911-2000, as well as of her husband, LaVon Parker Linn. The loose photographs also contain views of various places, including the Winslow family home in Myricks, Mass.; photographs of Ruby's professional work as a dietician with the U.S. Army; her travels in the United States, Nova Scotia, Puerto Rico, and the Middle East, among other places; Daughters of the American Revolution and National Sojourners events; Ruby's philanthropic work; and LaVon Parker Linn's service with the U.S. Army during World War II, among other subjects. Photographers include Ruby Winslow Linn and LaVon Parker Linn, among many others. Photographs are both black-and-white and color. Includes cartes de visite, cabinet cards, tintypes, and film photonegatives.
